ICAN is a small, woman-owned business providing captioning services in a variety of settings, both onsite and remotely, to members of the Hard of Hearing and Deaf communities  in Nebraska and across the United States.

Mydge Tyska Heaney began her career as a stenographic court reporter in 1991 in New Orleans, Louisiana.  She added to her experience as a freelance reporter in Illinois, Arkansas, and Tennessee until settling in Omaha, Nebraska in 2000.

​

In 2010, Mydge began providing CART on a full-time basis for a medical student.  That experience and word of mouth led her to provide live captioning to students at the top universities and a local community college in Nebraska.

​

Today, Mydge and a team of passionate and highly skilled captioners located throughout the country provide captions in academic, judicial, community, and medical settings.
